You are correct, the record books at minimum requirements.

Still, Koo didn’t start a full season until he was a senior, and he gave up kickoff duties to Bass that year.

Foley and Bass are the top two all-time, IMO. I’m leaning towards Bass as #1, but there’s no discounting what a big star and larger-than-life personality Foley was on our first great teams.
I agree with Foley and his impact. But even the great Yogi missed the extra point after the Tracy Ham to Frankie Johnson game winning touchdown against Furman in the 85 NC game.

One of my favorite things to during Foleys time was to come early from tailgate early and watch Tim kick 60+ yard fg. He had the other teams Physched out during pregame workouts. I watched them when their draws dropped and wouldn't try long ones.
Soaring on to the Sunbelt! GATA Eagles!

Couple things and I could be wrong on all accounts but didnt we get a personal foul for excessive celebration o the frankie td and move the extra point back? Not that he should have missed it though. And didnt Foley kick with a tee? Bass is #1 In my book. Just some thoughts

No celebration penalty. You may remember that Tracy was trying to talk Erk into going for two.

I was there the when Foley hit that 60+ in a game. Still the loudest sound of a football being kicked I have heard.

Put it on a tee, Bass could kick 70 yarders.
