He's the one that filled in at WR coach after Owens left prior to the bowl, although there's nothing official about that becoming permanent.

This ain't FCS....we are better than promoting a GA to a position coach to save money. We should be looking for people with the right skillset and experience to make us better, not just because he's a guy we have here.

GAs go places to get experience to get their foot in the door. It's not our responsibility to be an entry level job for people.

Now a position coach to coordinator/HC? I can get on board with that. That allows for continuity of your program by keeping guys in it that do well. Otherwise, we should be casting a wide net to find the BEST option for each availability we have.
Well I hope Coach Donald is retained for WR, but it's not my call.

And I would love to see TJ promoted to an on field Coaching position.

On what qualifications? Best I can tell, his resume is:

    Played at West Texas A&M (D-II) - 2011-2016
    Graduate Asst at Harding (D-II) - 2017
Graduate Asst at Georgia Southern (FBS) - 2018-2019

I'm sure he's a great guy, but we are not obligated to promote a guy with ZERO on-field coaching experience to a Division I FBS position coach. Let him cut his teeth at a D-II or FCS school as an actual position coach and work his way up.

Andy Kwon has been an OL Grad Asst at Alabama for a few years now and I'd be pretty upset if we hired him today as OL coach. Experience matters.

The players seem to respond well to him, and then there is a matter of continuity.

Did you watch our offense this year? Continuity is the least of my worries.

We need some fresh blood to help with our putrid offense.

Again... only 16 pts vs a bad FCS-Move up Liberty team.

OK, snide comments aside. We finished 104th of 130 teams in offensive yards per play. A huge reason for that was our blocking, primarily on the OL, TEs, and WRs. Two of those groups have a chance to get a new coach. I'd be pretty happy with fresh blood in all three positions.

I would like to see no continuity on the offensive side of the ball going into 2020.
