Thread: Tyler Bass to the Senior Bowl

  1. Default Re: Tyler Bass to the Senior Bowl

Is Dylan Lewis (East Coweta) being recruited as a place kicker or a punter? He announced a while back he’s committed to GS.

With our luck, the Falcons will draft Bass and he'll have to battle Koo for a roster spot.

When the NFL scouts watch him at SR bowl practice and HEAR that sound of a Bass kick, that's all they need to know. It's like the real good hitters in baseball, the sound of the ball coming off the bat, it's different and you know.

I’d prefer that didn’t happen, but if it does I feel confident that Koo has put together enough solid film this year that he would be picked up quick (pending he doesn't fall apart the remainder of this year).

Kicker is the least of the Falcons worries. Who will be GM and coach next season?

Didn’t he get invited to the nflpa bowl that Rutledge is invited to as well? Does he do both or just the SB which I assume is more prestigious but the invite came later?

yes, he got invites to both. I'm not sure why he chose one over the other. I know at the NFLPA lots of practice before game, i.e. Lots of scouts watching. They seem to emphasize practice at this bowl. I don't know, SR Bowl has a longer history.

IMO the Senior Bowl is more prestigious and has more brand recognition (1950 first game). The NFLPA bowl has only been around since 2012.
