I seem to recall in 2014 and 2015 that we periodically varied our pace of play from up tempo to slo motion by getting to the line and making the defense stay in position pre-snap for what seemed like an eternity. It seemed to keep the opponents’ defense off balance. Right now we seem to be the ones that are off balance.

    Good Lord . . .

Mike Sewak had a 32-1 record when scoring 30+ and a 3-13 record when not scoring 30.

    That’s .970 vs .188.

That’s about as close to “true outcomes” as you get in football.

Iove it. So why again did we want to do away with our prolific scoring attack that we had for so long? To get p5s to schedule us? Or bc the option doesnt put people in the NFL? Or bc we are now with the big boys so why run that outdated high school offense. We have heard it all but the proof is there.

Sorry eagle95 I meant to reply to klaks post

Why would we want to run the option for a ground attack???

    Thats just crazy talk!

You’re right. We got to the line or huddled right on the line. Sometimes we would send guys in motion and then everyone would stand up and get a new play called due to what the defense was showing.

I don’t see any adjustments based on what the defense is doing now. We are running the play called regardless of what the other side is doing.

While the Spread Triple Option may not place the QB as a QB in the NFL he wants to play QB and could pick up a running back position.

The wide outs or some linemen might have a hard time being picked up by the NFL, but they were of a lighter weight and knew that they weren't going to go to the NFL in most cases, but wanted to play collage ball, **(get a scholarship & get an education.)**

There is no excuse for any GSU defensive players.

We didn't run the offense you're referring to in 2014, 2015, or 2018 and did just fine those years.

What about Georgia Tech who did run said offense? PJ only posted an 82-59 record using it, that included only two double digit win seasons in 11 years there?
