Funny enough, App has finished below Southern in recruiting every year since being in FBS except for 2014 and 2019. They've also finished worse than 5th in the SBC in recruiting every year except 2014. So in terms of the Sun Belt, they're below average in recruiting and don't run a TO offense....yet here they are ranked for the 2nd time with 56 wins since moving up.

Like I've said before you have to have the right Head Coach, staff and players to make any offense click. Their are a lot of teams that run the same offenses. Some are successful and some arn't running the same offense. The HC also has to have the same level of competency in his DC, staff and players to make the defense successful.

Still doesn't answer my question though which is why do we have to run a TO offense at all? There's plenty of other very successful G5 teams who don't, hell one's even our biggest rival and is ranked in the top 25 for the 2nd year in a row.

You'er right. I think GSU could run another offense with the right HC, OC, staff and players. I think a lot of the older GSC/GSU fans equate the flex option offense with winning. Under Goider & Hatcher the offense was completely changed and we didn't do very well. That doesn't mean that a new HC and system couldn't work at GSU. I think the Flex still has life in it with the right "QB" that was a true double threat QB that could run the option and pass.
