Thread: Shai’s Growth as a Leader

Default Shai’s Growth as a Leader

Aside of the circus, it’d be kind of nice to mention Shai’s growth as a leader.

I remember the threads during the games that first year. Let’s fill the thread with the positive takeaways from last season moving forward.

I’m sure a kid who’s been through so much with the upcoming season on his shoulders could use the positive feedback.

I have always been impressed with a Shai.

I think he has something very special.

His first season was very rough, and he powered right through.

I think he’s very smart and mature. Not many would handle such adversity gracefully.

I saw how decisive his play decisions became last year as his trust in CL increased.

He made a HUGE leap last season. Can’t wait to see what he does this year.

    Ditto.

First couple of games were a little shaky, but after that it was ‘Katie, bar the door!”

Very solid "game manager" QB. Looks to first execute the play(rather than getting happy feat). His ability to make reads improved greatly last year. On top of these positives, he can, with his talent take the game over like we saw with his scramble last season in the bowl game that set up Bass game winner. Look for continued solid play, consistent and to be honest rather conservative. I'll take conservative and wins over a QB who tries to do too much and losses.

Very true. There will be a few plays a game where some fans think he plays it too safe but he's doesn't have the mentality of a Brett Favre and I'm ok with that.

If he gets king in the backfield to go along with our other speedsters and our receivers are are ready to ball- we might shock the world this year. GATA
