Not to be argumentative and go over you’re head but anyone actually at that game knows GS controlled al beit dominated the 2013 UF game. It was actually GS crapping the bed that kept Florida in it(2 missed xtra points and fumble inside red zone). Even from the crowd energy standpoint, that was Southern’s day and it is what is. Not that that’s relevant now but give credit where it’s due
I kind of have to agree with Buzz on this one...UF for whatever reason thought that it would be beneficial for them to just run thru us, even though that’s what our defense saw every practice, every day. It wasn’t until the latter half of the game when they decided that they should maybe make some adjustments and put it in the air a bit...perhaps their biggest downfall in that game. I like all of you are glad we won it, but it wasn’t just us punching them in the mouth.

I agree that UF made a huge mistake in not passing more. At that time, I truly think our pass defense was our Achilles. But, remember that the Gators’ QB play was pretty awful that season. Mornhinweg was a terrible passer, but their best option at the time. I think Muschamp figured they would play it safe and run over us without exposing their own deficiencies in their passing game.

We averaged almost 8 yards per carry in the UF game. We also fumbled on the goal line or else we win comfortably. They threw the ball 25 times and didn't even average 5 yards per catch. Yeah we pretty much dominated.

Never mind the Florida game. Here's a summary of our P5 games since 2014:

-Close losses to NC State, Orange bowl Georgia Tech team, and an okay UGA team.
-Blowout shutout loss to WVU with our #1 QB suspended
-10 and 11 point losses to a bad Ole Miss and one of PJ's better Tech teams on a year with a good roster and awful coaching.
-Blowout loss to top-10 Auburn team with a team of ours that was headed for 0-12, a big loss to Indiana that was statistically not as lopsided as the score showed.
-Blowout loss to a Clemson team that beat 5 ACC teams worse than us and had a veritable NFL defensive line when we were still early in our season trying to break in the OL.

I don't know how you can look at that and come to the conclusion that Minnesota is an automatic loss. We've basically played 7 teams that aren't legit top-10 teams. Three of those games were close and we just didn't come out on top, three of them were under Tyson Summers, and West Virginia outcome is definitely not flattering but it's the oddity on the list.

And people like Buzz will bring up analytics as the reason we aren't as good as we appeared last season, but we won the YPP in the NC State game, had the second-highest YPP differential in a loss ever in the 2014 game against Tech, and had a small negative YPP differential against UGA while winning the turnover battle.

Minnesota is a game that we can win if we are healthy, hungry, and our offensive line allows our speed to show up and show out. GATA19

If you don't think we can beat Minnesota then I do not know what in the world you are on. Clemson didn't score on us until halfway through the second quarter, we beat a top 25 App State team that won 11 games. Minnesota got blown out by an 0-6 Nebraska team. They beat Georgia Tech in Paul Johnson's last game ever which the offense didn't even seem to show up for.

Did you not see what happened when they tried to pass for a TD like twice in a row in the first quarter? Nearly picked twice. And even in the end.. BATTED DOWN!

Minnesota QB hurt, that is very helpful. Let's see when Vegas comes out with the spread, let's see after our first two games and their first two games, then we will have an idea of what we are up against and what Minnesota is up against.
