    Yep.

Conspicuous absence of much about GS.

That family had a bit of a falling out when Rusty was fired.

I’m not sure how things are now, but I know they severed all ties with the school at one point, I believe Erk was still around.

Mamma was not happy, Erk was over it at one point but she still was not for much longer than Erk. Remember he spoke with the team before he passed and was going to be involved again that season. The family still comes to games on occasion. They do still root for us. Also he wanted to play for us but was not offered a scholarship.

    I see.

I always thought that Rusty thing was a bad deal. He should have been offered some kind of position, even if he wasn’t well suited to what he was trying. Erk definitely earned that for his kid.

Hopefully things are good now. It’s just disappointing to see so little about GS in that article (and so much about ThUGA.). But it is the ajc. They are to journalism what Gag is to football.

Sometimes you offer a kid because it is the right thing to do.

Did UNC give Jordan's kids scholarships? It's the right thing to do. UNC has made millions due to his likeness.

I do agree it would have been a nice token to the Russell family.

Do you want to be the guy on the team that has a scholarship because your dad or granddad was a legend? I don't.

BTW, not that it really matters, but a few years ago while on vacation and he struck up a conversation with me when I had a Georgia Southern shirt on.
