Off the top of my head, it was 13 or 14? But of the starters returning, they accounted for 75% of our production (per S&P+), which is 10th among G5 programs and 2nd in the Sun Belt (behind Texas State who is at 83%).

    Texas State 83%
    Georgia Southern 75%
    Appalachian State 74%
    Georgia State 73%
    Coastal Carolina 68%
    Troy 67%
    UL-Monroe 66%
    UL-Lafayette 65%
    Arkansas State 64%
    South Alabama 47%

In 2016, we returned 89% of our offensive production.

The 2016 preview is a great read and shows exactly how much coaching matters: https://www.sbnation.com/college-foo...chedule-roster

Well that's just depressing. We've got 74% on offense coming back this year, but given no coaching turnover I'm optimistic we can pick up where we left off.

Exactly why I asked. Less than 9 wins would be disappointing.

Maybe we could pick up the two West Virginia safeties that are entering the portal, both are starters.

I'm thinking 8-4 with a bowl win. It will be hard to replicate our success with turnovers, so we will probably be a better team and the record may not show it. If the coaching turnover in the Sunbelt doesn't work out for them, we may see an 11 win season.

Johnson at GT, Navy and GS as well as Monken at GS and Army saw a surge of offense in their second years. I expect the same with this years staff.

8 Wins is my expectations based on the schedule but I think we will look better on offense in spite of giving up more turnovers this season.
