I wonder what Lunsford’s “minus” is for?

I agree that it’s quite difficult to pick knits about the job he’s done.

Maybe he was dragged down half a notch by Napier’s benchmark grade two paragraphs down. Given that Napier's blurb necessarily included reference to reaching the CCG (albeit from the western path) the writer was self conscious about them being almost two grades apart.

OR it was another slap at the “Summers debacle”, as in TS’s leaving earns the points between a “-“ and a “+”

Mullen didn’t get a minus. He didn’t make the CCG.

And he didn’t play an automatic loss like Clemson. He also got beat handily by UF’s equivalent of App.

Right, but he also wasn't on the list right next to an SEC coach who made it to the CCG and was graded lower. That's all I was saying - that Napier was the benchmark, that he couldn't be graded any higher, and CL's grade was relative to and tempered by his.

    I'm making all this up anyway . . .

I bet he’s the only guy on the list who had a head start in 2017.

    Fair enough, I guess.

    On a related note:

    Mike Bloomgren is 2-11.

Tee Martin demoted then dismissed from the USC staff. Glad we didn't have an AD dumb enough to go for the P5 shiny objects.

If you think TK is the reason we don't have better non-conference football schedules, see this post.
