Have you tried a B&B instead of a hotel?

I think the Statesboro Inn was one of them, and the price was $60 for a queen bed. It may be different for homecoming but it was a home game weekend. You can probably get a full list of B&B's on the Statesboro visitors bureau's website.

The only two real options for B&B's are the Statesboro Inn (912-489-8628) on South Main and Georgia's Bed & Breakfast (912-489-6330) on South Zetterower.

Or you can go here for a full list of hotels in case there are any you didn't think of or know about: http://www.visitstatesboroga.com/

Click the 'Where to Stay' tab.

just did a quick search on kayak.com, shows Holiday Inn, Baymont, Quality INN has having rooms, didnt go any further, but worth a try. I booked the Laquinta by the stadium 2 months ago.

You probably could find one in Augusta and drive in that morning.`

That site will show rooms as available when they aren't.

You are half right. Checked with several hotels and were full. Baymont said they had rooms for $199 and prices will drop due to occupancies. They took my phone number and said they'd call tomorrow with lower rate. Looking forward to a little blue hose beat down Saturday.
